A business X-ray to prepare for year-end

Slowing down to review the business helps clarify what to do during the year-end period and how to participate in a community practicing hypercollaboration.

What should you review in your business before year-end?

The starting point is a straightforward business X-ray: cash flow, operations, bottlenecks, finances, sales, forecasts and pipeline. That review also includes the quarter’s lessons and a decision about what to pursue during the final months of the year. On Day 369, this diagnostic exercise prepared the conversation about hypercollaboration.

Pausing at the end of the quarter

On Monday, September 28, we began the week in which September and the quarter would end. We dedicated Day 369 of D365-IRL™ to helping participants review where their businesses stood.

The intention was to help them conduct an easy, simple, direct and effective analysis. To look at cash flow, what was happening in operations, where bottlenecks might be, and how finances and sales stood as the period came to a close.

The review also included forecasts and pipeline. Alongside the numbers came a question about learning: what are we taking away from this quarter?

Field note

“pause and help all the entrepreneurs carry out a brief diagnosis”

English translation of an excerpt from Carlos Ocampo’s dictated recollection of the September 28, 2026 session.

Understanding the business to choose the next step

In this session, the business X-ray was framed as a self-assessment of where the business stood: reviewing its different dimensions to clarify the way forward.

The question guiding the exercise was specific: what will you do, and what will you focus on during the final three months of the year?

That review opened a week dedicated to slowing down. The purpose was to help entrepreneurs find their direction again before accelerating their year-end activity.

The announced next step

For Monday, October 5, the announced plan was to move into action: define events and create cross-promotions within a community actively practicing hypercollaboration.

In this context, hypercollaboration was connected to shared market-facing actions: bringing different businesses’ activities together through events and cross-promotions.

This note records the diagnostic exercise and the direction proposed on Day 369. The results of that activation belong in subsequent records.
