Connecting a business diagnosis with the time available helps prepare decisions and reveal opportunities for businesses to collaborate before defining their year-end actions.

What should you review after diagnosing your business?

On Tuesday, September 29, Day 370 of D365-IRL™, we connected participants’ diagnoses and self-assessments with a timeline. The exercise involved understanding how much time we had, mapping market milestones and identifying what each business intended to do. That conversation opened up the first possibilities for year-end hypercollaboration.

Connecting the diagnosis with a timeline

Participants had already worked on their diagnoses and self-assessments, which had also been assigned as homework. In this session, we moved toward a practical question: how much time do we have to prepare for what comes next?

Before starting execution, setting priorities or defining specific actions, we wanted a clear view of the time available. The aim was to connect what each business had identified with the period in which it could act.

We placed the end of the program on the last Friday of November. We also extended the commercial planning horizon to December 12, as the period for bringing year-end initiatives to fruition, and opened the conversation about preparing for 2027.

Field note

“first gain control of time and the timeline before beginning any execution, prioritization or definition of specific actions”

Mapping milestones and identifying initiatives

We began to map macroeconomic and geopolitical developments relevant to the markets. We added commercial milestones and major shopping seasons as reference points for thinking through the calendar.

Hot Sale, Black Friday, Mexico’s Buen Fin and Cyber Monday were mentioned during the conversation as examples of commercial seasons. Each reference needs to be placed and verified in the calendar for the relevant market before being included in a plan.

We then reviewed participants’ year-end initiatives aimed at increasing sales. Understanding those proposals helps reveal compatible businesses and potential opportunities to work together.

Organizing team plays

Hypercollaboration was central to this preparation. The proposal was for each company, while retaining its autonomy, to identify other companies with compatible interests, affinities and opportunities for joint action.

We aim to help entrepreneurs organize team plays and build alliances. The purpose is to make better use of their resources, improve customer acquisition costs and approach the season with greater agility and volume.

At this stage, we were laying the foundations for that shared work. The session helped us understand what each participant intended to do and begin connecting those intentions within D365’s open community.

The announced next step

As this stage came to a close, we were still addressing participants’ questions. The announced next step was to begin drawing up specific plans from October 1.

Day 370 focused on preparing for that step: establishing the timeline, mapping milestones, identifying initiatives and laying the first foundations for hypercollaboration. Improvements in sales, efficiency and customer acquisition costs remained objectives of the proposed work.
