Notes from July 2026 · Mexico City

Time has become organizations' scarcest resource.

Not because days are shorter.

Because the world started moving faster than the structures designed to interpret it.

In July, during the Reingeniería del Tiempo™ webinar, the conversation led us to a word that would appear several times in the following weeks:

autonomy.

Not as remote work.

Not as flexible schedules.

As the ability to decide, coordinate and execute without waiting for every piece of information, authorization and external condition to align.

FIELD NOTE · #CO

Whoever controls their own time masters the world.

Not because they control what happens outside. Because they decide when to observe, act and correct, and at what pace to transform what is their responsibility.

The first signal appeared in 2023

In 2023, I gave a talk at the kickoff of one of the world's leading enterprise systems manufacturers.

There I observed an important initial shift: the cloud was no longer just a destination for infrastructure. Strategy was moving toward integration, interconnectivity and ecosystems able to communicate with other platforms.

The enterprise system was beginning to stop seeing itself as a closed fortress.

It was becoming a network.

Since then, four leading enterprise systems manufacturers have followed different paths toward a similar point:

  • more integration;
  • more automation;
  • more artificial intelligence;
  • more agents;
  • more ability to interpret context and execute within platforms.

No solution can serve a startup, an SME, a family organization, a national corporation and a multinational operation in the same way. Their scale, processes and risks differ.

The technological direction, however, is clear.

Systems are moving from recording what happened to participating in what needs to happen.

Technology advanced ten years

ChatGPT launched publicly in November 2022. By the third quarter of 2026, the conversation is no longer only about chatbots. We talk about contextualized data, teams of agents and platforms able to intervene in complete processes.

In a few years, technology compressed an evolution that would probably have taken a decade.

Many organizations, meanwhile, still operate with the management they had in 2019.

And the world of 2019 no longer exists.

The pandemic accelerated a transition for which few organizations were prepared. When millions of people were sent home, many companies lost the physical mechanisms through which they confused presence with control.

Conversations fragmented across video calls, messages, emails, spreadsheets, documents and systems that do not always connect.

Six years later, we are still trying to rebuild that relationship between trust, information, responsibility and execution.

Data does not refine itself

The next frontier of enterprise AI depends on reliable, contextualized and available information.

But corporate information does not live only in clean databases.

It is in Excel.

It is in emails.

It is in notebooks.

It is in exceptions nobody documented.

It is in people who could leave the company tomorrow.

FIELD NOTE · #CO

Data quality is an organizational outcome before it is a technological attribute.

In 2025, I worked inside a distribution center of a company operating nationwide. One of the world's leading enterprise systems had been implemented for some time.

The platform was there.

The transformation was not.

The first signals were physical: disorder, neglect and a loss of rhythm. Looking at the organizational layer revealed turnover, team changes, friction with suppliers and integrators, delays, new corporate priorities and decisions reaching the operating floor too late.

It was not an interface problem.

It was a fracture between strategy, leadership, behavior, coordination, rhythm and system.

A supply chain operates through precision. The SCOR model connects processes, metrics, practices and technology. But no standard can replace the collective discipline needed to produce consistent data every day.

The case remains anonymous. Confidentiality has been a rule of our work since Team Projects, even before D31™ existed. Experience is used to reveal patterns, never to expose clients.

You cannot pause Tetris

Technological transition happens while geopolitics, capital, energy, work, regulation and supply chains also change.

That is the Vórtex™.

Not a single force transforming the system, but several forces acting simultaneously, at different speeds and with intersecting effects.

The United States midterm elections on November 3, 2026 will be an important signal of that country's political and economic direction. Tensions in Eurasia, the Middle East and other regions will continue adding uncertainty.

But the organizational conclusion does not depend on correctly predicting every move.

FIELD NOTE · #CO

Waiting for the pieces outside to align is like stopping to watch the next piece while the Tetris board keeps filling up.

A poor placement leaves gaps. Gaps prevent lines from closing. Pieces keep falling. And time eventually takes you to game over.

Reingeniería del Tiempo™ is not about guessing the next piece.

It is about recovering your own pulse to read the board, decide, correct and preserve the ability to move.

Looking inward

Waiting does not stop the cost of failing to transform.

That cost already appears in profitability, cash flow, overruns, slow decisions, lost agility, filters and reviews that consume the window for action.

What happens outside is not under the organization's control.

It can begin working now on:

  • how information is shared;
  • which channels carry it;
  • where decisions stop;
  • how people relate;
  • how smoothly coordination works;
  • how much execution depends on one figure;
  • how it develops internal innovation;
  • how it learns and corrects.

Leaders move rhythms and decisions.

They also often become the main bottlenecks.

Transformation begins when they stop looking only at external movement and start redesigning the internal conditions from which they will respond.

July left us a word

Transformation can no longer be managed solely as a project with a beginning and an end.

It must become a permanent capability.

A sequence began to emerge:

Reingeniería del Tiempo™ → autonomy → organizational revitalization.

Reingeniería del Tiempo™ recovers the pulse.

Autonomy distributes the capacity to act.

Revitalization turns that capacity into a living, adaptable system able to mature while executing.

July posed the question from operations.

August would return it from the technology industry.
