Preparing a business for 2027 starts with examining whom it helps, what that audience needs and which capabilities are required to deliver the solution. Building a network becomes useful when conversations support a concrete decision.

In D365-IRL Day 389, broadcast from Tech Week in Mexico City, Carlos encouraged participants to leave their desks to listen, ask questions and observe the market. Marco supplied an example from Innova Fest: presenting a mobility platform for older adults to an audience whose return expectations did not necessarily match the project's social purpose and accessible pricing.

A weak response can also say something about the audience

That account does not establish that the product is validated or that the market has rejected it. It does raise a useful question: did the conversation reach people experiencing the problem, people able to buy the solution, or people looking for a different kind of opportunity?

Before changing the entire offer, distinguish those positions. A user, buyer, implementation partner and investor may assess the same proposal differently. Listening to them helps clarify the problem being addressed and the evidence still needed.

Collaboration expands what you can deliver

The session description records that Marco and Juan began preparing a joint presentation. The platform could connect with a broader approach to inclusion and organizational culture. This creates an opportunity for hypercollaboration: combining complementary expertise around a shared need.

Technology is one part of the response. Adoption may also require agreements, safety, training and implementation. A collaboration becomes meaningful when it can explain who contributes each capability and how those contributions serve the customer. The session documents a proposal under development, not demonstrated commercial results.

Bring a decision to the next conversation

As an editorial application of this lesson, prepare one page with four elements:

  1. The specific problem and the person experiencing it.
  2. Available evidence and what still needs to be tested.
  3. The capability your project contributes and the capability it needs.
  4. Your proposed next step: a conversation, a test or a clearly scoped offer.

D365-IRL's final operating week made November a time for preparation. For a founder, this means arriving with projects and questions that can be worked through, alongside an intention to grow.

From an idea to a project with support

If you are defining your offer or building traction, explore D365-IRL 2027 support levels. Review the route and terms that fit your project's stage.

If you already lead a team and need different specialties to agree on priorities, explore PowerDay and request a proposal for your team.

Questions this note addresses

Does an unsuccessful presentation mean the idea is wrong? It is insufficient evidence. First distinguish who heard the proposal, how they evaluated it and what you learned.

What should a collaboration contribute? Complementary capabilities that help deliver a solution, with clear responsibilities and a concrete next step.

Continue with combined offers and agreements for hypercollaboration.
